Meng Ding Huangya is one of the oldest named teas in China, recorded as an imperial tribute for over a thousand years, and production is still small enough that most of it never leaves Sichuan. The cup is soft and pale, floral rather than vegetal, with a honeyed thickness that builds instead of arriving all at once.
